On August 4, Liang Weikeng, an undergraduate from SCNU's School of Physical Education & Sports Science, and his partner Wang Chang won the silver medal in the men's doubles badminton event at the Paris Olympic Games. This marks the first time students of South China Normal University have won a trophy for the Chinese sports delegation at the Olympic Games.
According to Global Times, the Liang-Wang pair, who are making their Olympic debut, were initially reserved as potential contenders for the 2028. Congratulations to Liang Wei Keng and Wang Chang for taking silver at their first Olympics!

On July 27, in their first group stage match of the men's doubles event at the Paris Olympic Games, Liang Weikeng and Wang Chang defeated the Canadian pair Dong Adam / Nyl Yakura with a score of 2-0.
On July 28, in the second round of the group stage, Liang Weikeng and Wang Chang faced the English pair Ben Lane and Sean Vendy. They reversed the score to win 2-1 and successfully advance to the knockout stage.
