A team of SCNU students were awarded the first prize of National College Students Embedded Chip and System Design Competition - FPGA Innovation Design Competition, which was held on December 3 in Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu province in East China.

The research team from the College of Biophotonics of SCNU participated in the competition. The awarded project is titled "Electric focusing system of multi-operator fusion microscope based on ZYNQ-7020".

The National Undergraduate Embedded Chip and System Design Competition is one of the national A-level competitions in the List of National College Students Competitions. It has been successfully held six times. It aims to develop students' capacity to innovate independently and practise engineering in the fields of embedded chip and system design, as well as programmable logic device application.
This competition was hosted by the Chinese Institute of Electronics. A total of 8,756 teams from 565 universities signed up for the competition, and 705 teams from 223 universities were selected for the finals.
