An art performance in celebration of the 90th anniversary of SCNU was held on the evening of November 4 on the Shipai campus. To showcase what SCNU has achieved over the past nine decades, the show included various forms of performance such as short sketches, singing, dance, chorus, and recitation. A streaming broadcast of the event attracted over 300,000 viewers and 800,000 likes.
The performance began with the short play "The First Lesson" , about Lin Liru, founder of the Guangdong Provincial Xiangqin Normal College - a precursor of SCNU. The play teaches students the significance of education for uplifting spirits of the Chinese people.
"Pass the Torch", a modern dance represents the learning spirit of SCNUers and is performed by the Lingnan Dance Troupe of SCNU.
Chorus "1941 School Song" performed by SCNU choir.
Recitation "The Melodious Sound of Muduo", praises the spirit of educators.
The concert "Wind and Rain Playground" shows the vitality of SCNU students.
"Sacrifice and Military Affairs – Campaign", a modern dance.
"Two Letters", a short play represents the volunteering teaching story of students of SCNU.
Performance of the song "Teacher, I miss you".
Children's dance "Hear Me Say Thank You" demonstrates their gratitude to teachers.
A program rich in traditional Chinese music, dance and Kung Fu elements.
The song and dance "Towards a better future" is magnificent, expressing wishes for SCNU's promising future.
Performance of the song "The Man Who Gave Me the Stars".
The performance ends with the chorus of the 90th anniversary theme song.
