SCNU and Alibaba Cloud jointly signed a cooperation agreement in Guangzhou on October 26, aiming to develop a school-enterprise cooperation in intelligent education in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Wang Binwei, secretary of the CPC Committee of SCNU, introduced the current and future development direction of SCNU. SCNU is a comprehensive university featuring teacher education and coordinating the development of multiple disciplines. It therefore attached great importance to applying technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and big data to further the school's development. Released by the Ministry of Education (MOE) in 2021, SCNU was selected to pilot the reform of teacher cultivation with the means of AI. In this way, the school has promoted the integration and innovation of AI and teacher education, and achieved innovative and practical results of basic teaching skills training for student teachers.
Wang stated, as the world's leading cloud computing and AI technology company, Alibaba Cloud had top technology and professional teams in AI, big data analytics, and the Internet of Things. It has accumulated rich experience in intelligent computing of scientific research, integration of industry and education, smart campus, green campus and other fields. Considering the cooperation as a starting point, SCNU will work together with Alibaba Cloud to implement cooperation projects and achieve practical results.
Zhang Tao, representative of Alibaba Cloud, introduced the recent technological breakthroughs of the company and shared perspectives on the development trend of "AI and education" at the ceremony. He said that Alibaba Cloud would explore digitized and intelligent educational patterns with SCNU, and jointly contribute to the modernization of education and equity in education.

In the future, the cooperation will focus on "AI and teaching and research", new infrastructure for a smart campus, AI talent cultivation and the development of teacher education.
