From August 12 to 13, 2023, SCNU hosted the 14th Cross-Strait Symposium on Psychological and Educational Testing, along with the National Annual Conference on Educational Statistics and Measurement. A total of 409 scholars from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan participated in the symposium.
The symposium is held biennially, alternately on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. It aims to take a deep dive into psychological and educational testing, statistical science, and other frontier development issues. It serves as an important platform for academic exchange and cooperation between the two sides of the strait.

The theme of the symposium was "Psychological and Educational Testing in the Era of Artificial Intelligence". The symposium featured 216 oral research presentations and 83 poster presentations, on the theory and technology of psychological testing, information technology and testing development, and new progress in educational testing. The symposium brought the cutting-edge achievements in this field to the fore.
During the symposium, Professors Hou Jietai, Wu Wudian, Che Hongsheng and Feng Bolin were awarded the Outstanding Contribution Award for Cross-strait Academic Exchange. In addition, 24 representatives won the Paper Award for the Young Scientists Conference.
