A calligraphy exhibition aiming to commemorate the 90th anniversary of SCNU was held on the Shipai Campus. SCNU's students convey their sincere blessings through a diverse collection of 506 works, which embody the gem of traditional Chinese culture and the spirit of youth.
Now, let's take a look at the highlights of these wonderful calligraphy works.
A work of calligraphy in regular script by Yuan Yihan.
One of the works is an excerpt from the Ode to South China Normal University, paying tribute to the dedication to academic excellence of SCNU's predecessors, their excellent talents and good moral. It was written by the faculty-student team of SCNU, and depicts SCNU's historical process, future ambition, ideals of talent cultivation, and caring for the family and country since its foundation in 1933.

The second work of calligraph is also an excerpt from the Ode to South China Normal University. It shows SCNU's commitment to educating and cultivating students and its determination to forge ahead. In addition, it presents SCNUers' image of being well-educated and yearning to learn from the wise.

In the left part of this work, the author states his understanding of the difficulties to found and develop SCNU over the past 90 years. Then, he expresses his great wishes for the 90th anniversary of SCNU.

Invitation to Wine is a well-known poem written by Li Bai, an ancient Chinese poet of the Tang Dynasty. In this poem, Li Bai conveys his confidence and pride in his political competence and literary talent. Similarly, SCNUers, like Li Bai, all possess outstanding capabilities and lofty ambitions and strive to make great contributions to society.

Extracted from the Ode to South China Normal University as well, this excerpt mainly introduces the history of SCNU's foundation and development and reveals the challenges faced during its early years.
