On April 2, South China Normal University (SCNU) fulfilled the promise and held the long-waited 2020 Graduation and Degree Awarding Ceremony, which had been delayed due to the pandemic. Schoolfellows came from all corners of the country and reunited at the Shipai campus.

President Wang Enke said that the Degree Awarding Ceremony is a significant ceremony to promote the spirit of SCNU and an important part of university education. Professor Wang hoped that the graduates could feel the solemnity and holiness of the university etiquette, and carried SCNU’s honor and responsibility with them as they move forward in their careers. He called upon the graduates to inherit the spirit and power of SCNU, and to use their knowledge and skills to contribute to the development and advancement of society. His call to action reminded the graduates of the significant role they have to play in shaping the future, and served as a reminder of the importance of upholding the values of patriotism, enterprise, and responsibility.
