From September 1 to September 16, the military training for freshmen was held on the Shipai, University Town, Nanhai and Shanwei campuses. 143 military officers and instructors from the Army Special Operations Academy of the People's Liberation Army and the Shanwei Coast Guard were deployed for the training tasks. The training is considered an opportunity for the students to discipline their will, toughen their bodies, as well as learn some basic military knowledge and skills.
