President Wang Enke lectured the new students at the opening ceremony. Three questions were raised for the new students: "Why do you go to college? How do you plan your college life? And what do you want from a good college?" In encouraging students to think about these questions, he hoped they could find their own direction towards a life of fulfillment at SCNU.
In his view, students are expected to set greater goals, work harder, and grasp not only basic knowledge but also professional literacy. "It's important for you to integrate personal ideals and pursuits into national prosperity, undertaking the obligation of national rejuvenation," he said.
