Three think tanks related to Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) development and education modernization were included into the Chinese Think Tank Index (CTTI), according to a list released on December 19.
The included think tanks
Of 315 think tanks that applied for inclusion of CTTI, only 99 were added this year, as per the 2020 CTTI-included think tanks listing released by the Nanjing University Center for Chinese Think Tank Studies and Evaluation and the Think Tank Research and Release Center of Guangming Daily.
The CTTI is one of the most influential on-line information systems about think tanks in China. The inclusion of the three think tanks marks SCNU’s new progress in integration of resources and development of high-profile think tanks. Currently SCNU has produced a batch of decision-making consultation reports, with more than 50 reports taken up by national or provincial institutes in 2020.
About the three think tanks

The Institute for Education Law, co-built by the Ministry of Education and SCNU, carries out comparative studies of the legislation on education in the GBA with the focus of the major problems of educational practice and rule of law in the new era. It has made high-quality achievements especially in the legislation on preschool education, the revision of Regulations of the People’s Republic of China on Academic Degrees and the right of education, and punishment of teachers. With experts in Law, Education Policy and Educational Management the Institute conducts cutting edge, specific and exclusive research for legislation.
