SCNU has made an important breakthrough in the building of high-level platform targeting the Belt and Road Initiative, as one of its research center was listed among the national and regional Belt and Road Initiative research centers.
The news came as the third batch of national and regional Belt and Road Initiative research centers was released by the General Office of the State Civil Affairs Commission recently.
This marks another good achievement of SCNU to give full play to our characteristics and advantages of the discipline which serves the initiative of BRI. It is an important breakthrough at a high-level platform for SCNU to serve the initiative.
The Southeast Asia Culture and Education Research Center is led by Professor Ma Zaoming of the School of Education. It is supported by the research team of the comparative education discipline, focusing on long term R&D of national and regional education in Southeast Asia. A series of high quality research reports was produced during various projects as well as a batch of outstanding comparative education scholars in the area.
In the future, the Southeast Asia Culture and Education Research Center will continue to extend and deepen the fundamental study and application with innovation, and play a leading role of a high-end think tank in the research of ethnic and cultural education in Southeast Asia, serving China's overall strategic and diplomatic development.
