On March 19, Wang Chunchao, vice president of SCNU, received a delegation led by Themin Suwardy, associate provost of Singapore Management University (SMU).
Representatives from the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation and the School of Economics and Management attended the meeting.

Wang Chunchao extended a warm welcome to the delegation and gave a brief introduction to the university and its international endeavors. Wang noted that SCNU actively serves the opening-up and regional development needs, with a focus on cultivating top-tier innovative talents with a global outlook. He spoke highly of Singapore Management University’s excellence in business, social sciences, and information technology, and expressed the expectation of deepening cooperation with SMU in areas such as talent cultivation and scientific research.
Themin Suwardy expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and introduced SMU’s scale, distinctive strengths, disciplinary advantages, and featured postgraduate programs. He highlighted SMU’s strong commitment to international engagement and global partnerships, and looked forward to in-depth cooperation with SCNU for mutual benefit.
Representatives from the School of Economics and Management presented an overview of the school, including its faculty, key disciplines, international achievements, and future development orientations. The school has advanced its international engagement through the three major international business education accreditations, having obtained BGA gold medal certification and continuing to pursue AACSB accreditation.
The two sides held in-depth discussions on specific areas of cooperation, including student exchange programs and joint master’s degree programs, reaching a broad consensus.

The visit has paved the way for deepening cooperation between the two universities and establishing platforms for joint talent cultivation. Building on their respective strengths, both sides will move forward with joint projects efficiently to deliver tangible results and explore innovative models and effective pathways for international educational collaboration.
