A delegation from Marquette University, led by its vice president Brian Troyer, visited South China Normal University on November 4. The two sides discussed potential cooperation in student exchange and joint academic programs.
Chen Xiaofang, deputy secretary of the CPC SCNU Committee, warmly welcomed the delegation. Chen said that SCNU has long been dedicated to international cooperation. Stressing that educational cooperation serves as an important bridge for Sino-U.S. cultural exchange, he hoped that the two sides will strengthen cooperation in areas such as two-way student exchange and dual-degree programs.

Brian Troyer introduced Marquette University's mission and goals, student body composition and areas of academic strengths. He said that there is great potential for collaboration between the two universities and looked forward to more cooperation in the future.
Zhuang Huijuan, vice dean of the International Business College at SCNU, briefed the delegation on the college’s history and its international cooperation initiatives. The two sides then discussed collaboration on student exchange programs, dual-credit and 2+2 programs.
According to the official website of the university, Marquette University is a renowned private university located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, that offers more than 80 majors in its nationally and internationally recognized colleges and schools.
