SCNU organized the 2025 "Chinese Bridge" Summer Camp at the School of International Culture on July 18. It marks the second post-pandemic summer camp organized for students from the Confucius Institutes in Latvia and Réunion.
During the ceremony, Zhao Di, deputy director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, extended a warm welcome to all participants. She expressed the hope that the camp would provide an immersive environment for participants to enhance their Chinese language skills, deepen their understanding of contemporary China and its culture, forge international friendships, and promote cross-cultural exchange.

He highlighted the global trends in Chinese language education and China’s achievements in development in the new era, encouraging participants to seize this opportunity to explore China and foster cultural dialogue.


Representatives Oleksandra Kolivanova from the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia and Tailamee Léa from the Confucius Institute at the University of La Réunion (France), delivered speeches in Chinese, expressing their enthusiasm for learning the language and their excitement for the upcoming cultural journey.
Attendees also watched an introductory video about SCNU. The ceremony concluded with a warm and engaging free-talk session. Over the next two weeks, participants will immerse themselves in Guangzhou and Beijing, engaging in systematic Chinese language courses, cultural workshops, and hands-on social activities.
The SCNU 2025 Chinese Bridge Summer Camp was hosted by Center for Language Education and Cooperation and organized by SCNU. Since 2014, SCNU has hosted 18 Chinese Bridge winter and summer camps both online and on site, welcoming nearly 1,100 participants.
