With the aim of deepening cooperation with British universities, vice president of SCNU Liu Jianwen led a delegation to visit the University of Aberdeen, the University of Birmingham and the University of Bristol in the UK and attended the graduation ceremony of the Aberdeen Business School from July 1 to 5.
The delegation first visited the University of Aberdeen on July 2. Liu Jianwen held closed-door talks with Professor George Boyne, president of the the University of Aberdeen, Professor Siladitya Bhattacharya and Pete Edwards, both vice presidents of the the University of Aberdeen.
Both sides reviewed the educational achievements of the 18-year cooperation between the two universities, signed the application materials for upgrading of master’s to doctoral studies at the Aberdeen Institute of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence in Foshan (China), and discussed ways to strengthen their cooperation.

The delegation also met with Professor John Skatun, dean of the Aberdeen Business School, Dr Doug Martin, dean of the School of Psychology. Their discussions focused on issues such as further upgrading the running of schools. The delegation was also invited to attend the graduation ceremony of the Aberdeen Business School, and met with SCNU graduates.

At the invitation of the University of Birmingham, the delegation paid a visit to the university on July 3. They had in-depth discussions, with Professor Jon Frampton, vice president of the University of Birmingham, and Professor Suzanne Higgs, dean of the School of Psychology.
Topics included integrated undergraduate-graduate degree programs and the dual degree joint training program. The delegation then visited the psychology and engineering laboratories of the university, paving the way for future cooperation in the fields of psychology and engineering research.

The University of Bristol welcomes the delegation of SCNU.
The delegation visited the University of Bristol on July 4, and held talks with Dr. Liang-Fong Wong, vice president of the University of Bristol, and Professor Ian Nabney, vice dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering. Group discussions were held on various issues, and consensus was reached on matters such as educational cooperation models, the joint development of specialised psychology courses, and the expansion of business programme cooperation.
