On May 10, SCNU vice president Pan Wenqing met with a delegation led by Ieong Chankei, president of the Macao Alumni Association of SCNU, to further deepen educational collaboration, promote resource sharing, and enhance talent exchange in the Greater Bay Area.

Pan Wenqing welcomed the delegation back to SCNU and affirmed the contribution of Macao Alumni Association to the high-quality development of Macao’s economy and society. He reviewed the history of SCNU’s education for Macao students and introduced SCNU’s current situation. Pan put forward three exceptions for the association: integrating alumni strength and building an exchange platform, serving national strategies and strengthening ties among fellows, and further inheriting cultural roots.

Ieong Chankei detailed the association’s organizational structure and development progress. He said that the Macao Alumni Association would strengthen ties with SCNU, widely unite more Macao alumni, unleash their vitality and potential, and contribute to the integrated development of education, science and technology, and talent.

The two sides held in-depth discussions on a range of topics, including the role of AI in empowering education, the integrated development of educational technologies, educational cooperation within the Greater Bay Area, and their support for the university’s development. Both sides also exchanged views on the 40th anniversary of SCNU’s education programs for Macao students and the optimization of alumni services.
In the afternoon, Macao alumni and current Macao students at SCNU gathered together to communicate. The alumni addressed students' concerns regarding career growth by sharing professional insights from the education sector, while also introducing employment opportunities in the Greater Bay Area. The delegation also visited the history museum of SCNU, learning more about SCNU's history.
