On October 14, a School of Education and Social Work delegation from the University of Auckland visited SCNU.
Tan Weihong, director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation of SCNU, warmly welcomed the visitors on behalf of SCNU. She referred to the warm relationship that has been developed between the two universities since 2017. Additionally, she emphasized the ongoing exchange and study visits for teachers and students.

Tan added that SCNU and the University of Auckland have established a “2+2” dual-degree collaborative program in Preschool and Early Childhood Education. Students from SCNU have already started their studies in this program.
The two universities also intend to collaborate on a “2+2” dual-degree program in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). In the future, SCNU will further deepen its collaboration with the University of Auckland and continue to promote mutual high-quality development.
Li Shengbing, dean of the School of Education, emphasized that SCNU hopes to carry out comprehensive collaboration with the University of Auckland, and further cooperate in teacher exchange, curriculum co-development, and scientific research to jointly promote the high-quality development of both universities.

Liu Xiaobing, vice dean of the School of Foreign Studies, conveyed the hope that both sides will work together in the future to promote student exchange, ensure the success of the program, and facilitate deeper collaboration between the two universities.
Marek Tesar, the associate dean international of the Faculty of Education and Social Work, said that the University of Auckland is highly supportive of students from SCNU studying, and offers multiple means of financial support such as tuition fee waivers and subsidies.
In response, Li Shengbing mentioned that SCNU would also provide financial support for students to study abroad to the best of its ability to promote educational collaboration between the two universities. Later, the participants from both sides had a thorough discussion on educational collaboration and exchange and a series of important collaborative intentions were reached.

After the meeting, the delegation had a presentation in the auditorium of the School of Education to help students get a better understanding of the University of Auckland, attracting nearly a hundred students from the School of Education and the School of Foreign Studies.
