SCNU recently organized the "Chinese Bridge - Latvian Youth Students' Summer Camp in China", which aims to help Latvian students to improve their Chinese language skills, experience diverse Chinese culture and explore its profound legacy.
The summer camp featured diverse forms of learning such as cultural courses, on-site investigations, and cultural events, which were mainly held in Guangzhou and Beijing and lasted for two weeks.

In Guangdong, students explored the rich history and traditional crafts of Guangzhou, and the unique Lingnan culture. For example, they visited the Guangdong Museum located in Guangzhou, which showcases the history and art of Lingnan culture.

In Beijing, they immersed themselves in the charm of old alleys, the architectural wonders of the Forbidden City, and the grandeur of the Great Wall. These experiences offer a fascinating glimpse into China's cultural heritage and history.

Sponspored by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation under the Ministry of Education and organized by the School of Marxism of South China Normal University, the summer camp not only offers precious opportunities for Latvian students to gain an in-depth understanding of China, but also builds a solid bridge for cultural exchange between China and Latvia.
