SCNU won 9 Post-Funded Projects of the 2023 National Social Science Fund of China (NSSFC) according to the list released by the National Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences. The number ranks 16th among national universities, setting a new record high.

The approved projects mainly cover 7 disciplines and are awarded to 6 schools of SCNU. Up to now, SCNU has obtained 54 NSSFC projects in 2023, ranking 15th among national universities and 1st in Guangdong province. Meanwhile, all the numbers of approved projects in these five categories have reached the best result over the years.
