SCNU has signed an inter-school cooperation agreement with Universitas Indonesia (UI) at the "Southeast Asia Forum" 2023 International Conference & Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Industry-Education Integration Innovation Forum on November 18.
SCNU and Universitas Indonesia sign the agreement to further exchange and cooperation.
According to the agreement, SCNU and UI will carry out in-depth exchange and cooperation in personnel training, scientific research cooperation, social services and other fields. In the future, the two sides will rely on the Southeast Asian research platform to carry out cooperation in teacher-student exchange, research resource sharing, and think tank development in the fields of Indonesian research, ASEAN research, Southeast Asian region and country research, sinology research, and international strategic research, and gradually expand to other disciplines and research categories.
Based on the positive interactions between the Southeast Asian research team of SCNU and Indonesian universities, the School of Chinese Language Teacher Education for Southeast Asia, the Center for Southeast Asian Studies and the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of UI jointly promoted inter-school cooperation and aim for further exchange and cooperation.
Established in 1849, Universitas Indonesia (UI) is among the best Indonesian universities. It is the alma mater of Sukarno, Indonesia's first president.
The annual International Conference of the Southeast Asia Forum has been hosted for seven years consecutively since the Center for Southeast Asian Studies of SCNU was founded in 2017. It has become an important conference for exchange among interdisciplinary and cross-domain experts and scholars from Guangdong province, Hong Kong, Macao and various other southeast Asian countries.
