SCNU held the International Symposium on High Quality Development of Cooperative Education in the New Era on 3 November on the Nanhai campus, aiming to share advanced Chinese and foreign educational concepts, deepen cooperation with domestic and foreign universities and build a cooperative education exchange platform.
This event was one of the academic activities to celebrate the 90th anniversary of SCNU, jointly organized by the International Business College, the Aberdeen Institute of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and the International United College. International experts, scholars and practitioners in the field of cooperative education joined the discussion on improving the quality and efficiency of cooperative education. The symposium is meant to accelerate the transformation of the SCNU Nanhai campus (Foshan) featuring "new engineering, internationalization, new business" and the creation of an international demonstration zone.
Yang Zhongmin, vice president of SCNU, said that development at the Nanhai campus has been leaping forward in terms of the school size, its level, and its running pattern since its foundation in 2000. The campus meets the needs of Foshan's manufacturing industry and strategic emerging industries, plans particularly for the new engineering disciplines and expands international education. It has now built a cooperative talent training mode by setting up cooperative education institutions, Sino-foreign joint programs and exchange programs.
