The Sino-Foreign Sports Culture Exhibition with the theme "Uphold Fundamental Principles and Break New Ground to Embrace a Global Vision" opened on October 16 at SCNU, aiming to demonstrate the exchange and innovation between Chinese and international sports, traditional and modern sports.
The exhibition is jointly sponsored by the School of Physical Education and Sports Science and the International Exchange and Cooperation Office. It will be hosted successively on four SCNU campuses for two weeks.

Yang Zhongmin, the vice president of SCNU, indicated that sports are global, common and international. It is an important bridge to promote the exchange and mutual learning between Chinese civilization and other civilizations, demonstrating human society's common objectives and noble quests. In this context, the exhibition was of great significance for the deepening of foreign exchange and cooperation, the mutual learning of civilizations, and the cultivation of students' international insight.

Lu Shihan, an athlete of the Chinese national fitness and bodybuilding team, and student representatives from the School of Physical Education and Sports Science served as the hosts of the opening ceremony. At the opening ceremony, teachers and students presented wonderful performances, varying from Chinese Lion Dance, Chinese martial arts, Chinese archery to yoga, long and short weapons, and European historical martial arts.

This exhibition is part of SCNU's 2023 Sino-foreign cultural exchanges and mutual learning program. The displays explore the following: Archery, closely related to human civilization; Martial arts in various forms at home and abroad; Mysterious Chinese breathing exercise; Ancient yoga of the South Asian subcontinent; Polo (a horseback sport popularized in ancient-time China) broadcasting from the east to the west along the Silk Road; Sword sports in Chinese and Western martial arts.
