A project of SCNU was approved as a notable project by the National Social Science Foundation of China (NSSFC), according to a list released by National Office for Philosophy and Social Sciences, on April 16.

This project led by Ren Guixiang, a professor of the School of Marxism, aims at studying and elaborating the spirit of Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of Communist Party of China (CPC). It involves interdisciplinary theory studies, including History of the CPC (including Party Doctrine and Party Building), Philosophy and Politics.

In this work president Xi Jinping’s important statements and his innovative theory about the history of CPC will be elaborated. Besides, the philosophy of how Xi makes full use of the Party’s history to govern the nation, party and army and how Party members and cadres are stimulated to carry out their undertakings through the study history of the CPC will be also demonstrated. Moreover, Xi’s important statements on the history of the CPC, and their academic values in advancing the study of the history of the CPC and related disciplines development will be interpreted. Last but not least, the guiding role of these statements in achieving the Second Centenary Goal of building China into a modern socialist country in all respects will be discussed.

 A total of 130 notable projects in the nation were approved by the NSSFC to further interpret a series of original new ideas, thoughts and strategies set forth in the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of CPC. Collectively, they constitute a theoretically persuasive and instructive achievement for in-depth study and implementation of the spirit of the 19th Central Committee of CPC.
