From December 14 to 27, the School of Education at SCNU sent a delegation of teachers and postgraduates to Hiroshima, Japan for academic exchange. The delegation visited local universities and their affiliated schools and organizations.
The delegation visited Hiroshima University, the affiliated high school and kindergarten of Hiroshima University, Fukuyama University and the Confucius Institute of Fukuyama University during their stay in Japan.

During the visit to Fukuyama University, Matsuda Fumiko (まつだ ふみこ), principle of Fukuyama University, welcomed and met with the delegation. Vice principle Ootsuka Yutaka (おおつか ゆたか) led the delegation to all the departments and research centers of Fukuyama University, introduced the basic information about the university and answered questions from the delegation in detail.
Fuji Akio (ふじ あきお), the vice principle of Fukuyama University, held talks with Shi Yudan, the vice dean of the School of Education, on teaching and research cooperation. Shi Yudan gave an academic lecture titled The Development of Chinese Teachers' Education during the Forty-year Reform and Opening-up at Fukuyama University led a discussion about the current situation of Chinese Teachers' Education with teachers and students of Fukuyama University. The delegation also paid a visit to the Confucius Institute of Fukuyama University.

During the visit to Hiroshima University, postgraduates from both universities held an academic discussion at the Education Research Center of Hiroshima University. Students made reports on topics such as students' attitude towards study in a no boundary university, narrative research about teachers in Japanese editorials after the war, factors that influence students' study, teachers' research of classroom learning perception and the application of artificial intelligence in education, etc.. A heated and in-depth discussion followed the reports.
The delegation also paid a visit to the affiliated high school and kindergarten of Hiroshima University, viewed and emulated an English writing class in the affiliated high school.

The visit broadened the horizon of students from three universities. It promoted in-depth communication between SCNU, Hiroshima University and Fukuyama University, while strengthening Sino-Japanese friendship. It also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation and exchange programs, making a positive impact on international teaching and research cooperation.
