From April 29-30, Dr. Harminder Battu, head of the International Program at the University of Aberdeen, visited the International United College at SCNU. During the visit, Dr Harminder Battu held talks with Chai Shaoming, vice dean of the International Business College, Zeng Biqing and Chen Huan, respectively dean and vice dean of the School of Software, and Xu Xianglong, vice dean of the School of Economics and Management.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on teaching quality assurance, students' academic performance, curriculum design and practical matters of the Sino-Foreign cooperation in running the Master of the fintech program. At the School of Software, the two sides exchanged views on the progress of the "2+2" joint training program, and communicated with each other on the implementation of the specific work arrangement for the next round of applications. At the School of Economics and Management, the two sides discussed relevant issues pertaining to the "2+2" joint training program in financial engineering.
The two sides reached a consensus that, on the basis of completing the joint training of "2+2" in 2019, the Sino-Foreign cooperative education working group will establish a regular remote meeting communication mechanism, starting from May to strengthen the working contact and accelerate the application process of Sino-Foreign cooperative education institutions.
By the middle of June, President Wang Enke will lead a delegation to the University of Aberdeen to attend the graduation ceremony of the first batch of graduates of the Sino-Foreign cooperation program in Finance and sign the agreement on the Sino-Foreign cooperation in running schools.
