On March 21, teachers and students from the School of Education of Oklahoma State University participated in the academic exchange program with SCNU. Teachers and students from the School of Politics and Administration and the School of Educational Science participated in the exchange. Zhao Yi, vice president of the School of Politics and Administration, welcomed the teachers and students from Oklahoma State University and fully affirmed the good cooperation between the two sides during the summer student exchange program and the long-term exchange student training program. He said he looked forward to see more in-depth cooperation between the two sides in personnel training and academic exchange.
The teachers and students had wide academic exchange in such topics areas as undergraduate talent training, undergraduate teaching and curriculum development, exploring opportunities and challenges for future higher education in China and the United States. They discussed the theoretical and practical issues of higher education of the two countries. They believed that we should not only see the differences in educational philosophy and modes under different systems and cultures, but also see their respective advantages and overcome their own weak points by learning from each other in higher education. After the academic exchange, the two sides presented souvenirs and posed for photographs.
This academic exchange is one of the series of activities to further strengthen the internationalization of undergraduate talent cultivation of the School of Politics and Administration. Focusing on the central task of building a “Double First-Class” university, the School of Politics and Administration will continue to create more international exchange platforms for teachers and students, and help to cultivate more talents at South China Normal University.
